Terms And Conditions

​Volunteering in Qatar
  • To be Qatari national or resident of Qatar with valid ID.
  • Age no younger than 18.
  • Qualification preferably no less than secondary school certificate.
  • To be physically fit to perform assigned tasks.
  • To be of good conduct.
Volunteering Out of Qatar
  • Age no younger than 18.
  • Qualification preferably no less than secondary school certificate.
  • To be physically fit to perform assigned tasks.
  • To be of good conduct.
Required Documents
  • Photocopy of Qatari ID & passport (for volunteers in Qatar).
  • Photocopy of passport (for volunteers out of Qatar).
  • C.V.
  • Two personal photos (size: 4×6).
  • Photocopy of good conduct certificate.
Volunteer Rights
  • To choose to be member of QRCS in accordance with Articles of Association.
  • To receive adequate training & personal capacity-building to be able to perform agreed tasks.
  • To accept or decline a volunteering task in accordance with Code of Conduct and central principles of voluntary service.
Volunteer Duties
  • To respect QRCS, humanitarian mission & emblem – which must never be used for propaganda or personal purposes.
  • To understand/observe QRCS values & fundamental principles of International Red Cross & Red Crescent Movement in offering humanitarian services.
  • To avoid any activity that involves or causes conflict of volunteering responsibilities/tasks on the one hand and personal interest on the other.
  • Not to give statements to the media without prior authorization from competent persons in QRCS.
  • To perform volunteering tasks diligently & respect timing of events.
  • To cooperate with colleagues & share opinion professionally & objectively.
  • To stick to moderate body-covering attire that indicates respect for values of Qatari society.
Volunteering Termination

The relation between QRCS and volunteer shall be terminated in any of the following cases:

  • Commit any act or crime in violation of Qatari law.
  • Not respect etiquette & good manners in performing volunteering tasks.
  • Raise funds using the name of QRCS.
  • Create groups on social media using the name of QRCS.
  • Not observe professional standards, disclose secrets of QRCS associates, or provoke disturbance among volunteers.
  • Not show genuine willingness or ability to perform assigned tasks.
  • To violate the volunteer obligations stated in the Code of Conduct.
