The sessions also explained the importance of preparedness for dealing with situations that require first aid intervention, in addition to the contents, accessible storage, maintenance, labeling, and expiry of first-aid kit. Another topic covered by the sessions was taking the right steps to ensure the quick arrival of ambulance emergency medical team, as follows: (1) call the emergency number (999), (2) talk calmly with the call taker, (3) tell your name and number, (4) describe the case accurately, (5) tell in detail the address, and (6) double-check the reported information before ending the call. In the practical part of the sessions, the attendees received training in how to deal properly with fainting cases, including the recovery position and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), using training patient care manikins. Finally, a special focus was given to specific emergencies like choking, wounds, burns, nosebleed, fractures, sprains, accidents, eye injuries, and broken teeth.
