Dr. Mohamed bin Ghanem Al-Ali Al-Maadheed President

Dr. Mohamed Al-Maadheed holds an MA in Epidemiology & Health Planning and a PhD in Strategic Health Care Management from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). He is widely considered a leader in the fields of humanitarianism, sports medicine, and anti-doping. Currently, he acts as an adviser to the personal representative of the Emir. Dr. Al-Maadheed is actively engaged in humanitarian and social work, such as disaster response, rehabilitation, and empowerment. He strongly promotes human rights, health care, and humanitarian advocacy. Formerly, he had held several leadership roles, such as Vice-President of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) for Asia, board member of Qatar International Development Fund and Qatar National Fund for Social Development, Vice-Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH), member of National Human Rights Committee (NHRC), and member of the World Economic Forum for the MENA region. Dr. Al-Maadheed is the founder of Qatar's first National Sports Medicine Center in 1992 and was instrumental in transforming the vision for a comprehensive sports medicine facility into a state-of-the-art Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Hospital (Aspetar), which was accredited as a FIFA Medicine Center of Excellence in 2009 and expanded its reach nationally through the National Sports Medicine Programme. He is currently Chairman of the Advisory Scientific Board of Aspetar, which he led as Director-General from 2006 to 2012. During 2005-2008, Dr. Al-Maadheed founded and chaired Qatar National Anti-Doping Commission. As a leading health care figure in Qatar, he is Chairman of the Executive Committee for a Healthy Population, tasked with the development of Qatar National Health Strategy 2011-2016. Now, he is Director-General of Naufar, an addiction treatment and rehabilitation center. He speaks frequently internationally on different humanitarian issues and has published works on anti-doping, sports medicine, health care, and humanitarian diplomacy.

Dr. Aisha Yousef Al-Mannai Vice-President

Dr. Aisha Al-Mannai is a professor of faith, philosophy, and religion and is Chairperson of Hamad Bin Khalifa University's (HBKU) Muhammad Bin Hamad Al Thani Center for Muslim Contribution to Civilization. As the first woman in the GCC region, she is former Dean of Qatar University's (QU) College of Sharia and Islamic Studies. She is board member of Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs (QSRN), member of the State Merit and Encouragement Awards Committee, and Chairperson of the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue (DICID). She is actively engaged in social services both locally and internationally. She has received several awards, including the Medal of Sciences and Arts of the First Class (Egypt – 2007), Community Service Medal (UAE – 2011), IFRC's Henry Davison Award (2015), and Gulf Distinction Award (2015).

Ali Hassan Al-Hammadi Board Member & Treasurer

Ali bin Hassan Al-Hammadi is the current Secretary-General, a board member, and Treasurer of QRCS. He has behind a long career starting from 1976, when he graduated from Alexandria University and received in-service training diplomatic, consular, and protocol courses at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He attended many Arab, Islamic, and international conferences and wrote a book on his experience as a diplomat. Mr. Al-Hammadi held his first position in 1976 as Third Secretary, climbing the career ladder to the office of Minister Plenipotentiary (1997-2003). In between, he was Ambassador to Sudan and Zambia, worked in several embassies of Qatar (in Mauritania, Libya, Kuwait, Belgium, Portugal, and Egypt), and represented Qatar in a delegation to the 39th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (1984). He served as Permanent Delegate of Qatar to the Arab League (1997-2003).

Dr. Abdul-Salam Al-Qahtani Board Member

Dr Abdul-Salam Al-Qahtani is Head of Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head, and Neck Surgery and Director of Training at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). He is also an assistant professor at Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar (WCM-Q). Given his medical background, active engagement in humanitarian work, and volunteering with QRCS since 2003, he was selected to oversee Workers' Health Centers and chair QRCS's Medical Committee. Other roles undertaken by him include representing QRCS in the Permanent Committee for Emergency (PCE), heading the medical delegation of Qatar's Hajj Mission. Dr. Al-Qahtani has contributed to numerous health education programmes and is a host and a guest speaker of several TV shows.

Omar Hussain Al-Fardan Board Member

Omar Al-Fardan is head of QRCS's Higher Investment Committee. Having obtained Master of Finance, he joined Alfardan Group, where he was a catalyst for business expansion, in line with the national economic progress. As the current CEO of the Group, his strategy is to go painstakingly after every development opportunity in different business activities, both locally and regionally. He also works to diversify the Group's portfolio, gain a global foothold, and further energize Qatar's boom. Mr. Al-Fardan is known for his effective social, academic, humanitarian, and environmental contributions. He gives particular support to postgraduate students, helping them to pursue academic degrees at prestigious educational institutions. Today, Alfardan Group has become a big name in the arena of corporate social responsibility (CSR), playing a pivotal role in promoting charitable, volunteering, and humanitarian activities, towards the developmental goals of Qatar National Vision 2030. He is keen to preserve the Group's fundamental values and ideals of transparency, excellence, quality, and integrity in all its services and CSR initiatives.

Mohamed Al-Yami Board Member

Mohamed Al-Yami has over 20 years of successful experience in strategic and operational leadership. He started his career within the public health sector and has lately been with Vodafone as Executive Director, External Affairs. Other positions held by him include Administration Officer of a public health center; Director, Corporate Strategy and Business Development, Ashghal; Head, Corporate Planning, Kahramaa; Chairman of PR and Media Committee, Asia Fencing Federation; Secretary-General, Qatar Fencing Federation; Director, Fencing Grand Prix (Qatar 2005); and Director, Fencing World Cup (Qatar 2004). Mr. Al-Yami has Bachelor of Civil Engineering, QU, and Master of Business Administration (MBA), Washington International University. He is member of several local and international institutions, such as Institute of Leadership and Management (UK), Project Management Institute (USA), and Qatar Society of Engineers.

Khaled Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti Board Member

Dr. Khaled Al-Sulaiti has Bachelor of International Business and MBA from University of Bridgeport, USA, and PhD in Marketing from University of Strathclyde, Scotland. He is Associate Professor of Marketing; CEO, First Finance Company; General Manager, First Investment Company; Senior Consultant, Barwa Real Estate Company. Earlier, he was CEO, Steering Committee, Barwa Bank; General Manager, Institute of Administrative Development (IAD); Dean, Student Affairs, QU; Acting Dean, College of Business and Economics, QU; and Director of Information and Market Relations, Qatar Stock Exchange. Moreover, Dr. Al-Sulaiti is Chairman of Steering Committees in Barwa Bank, First Investment Co., Tahseel, and Amlak, as well as the Permanent Scientific Committee, IAD. He is board member of Alimtiaz Investment Co. (Kuwait), member of Beta Gamma Sigma Inc. (USA), and Vice-Chairman of First Finance Co. (Jordan) and Bait Al-Mashoora Financial Consulting (Qatar). In 2011, he was selected among 500 strongest personalities in the Middle East, in recognition of his valuable contributions and publications in business, banking, and stock market.

Saleh Ali Al-Mohannadi Board Member

Saleh Al-Mohannadi joined QRCS officially 13 years ago, working as Director of Resource Mobilization, Relief, and International Relations. Over his three-decade career, Mr. Al-Mohannadi held managerial positions that reflected trust in his abilities and strategic thinking. Early in his professional life, he attained senior ranks in the Qatar Armed Forces. His firm belief in the values of peacemaking and human dignity at times of war and peace motivated him to volunteer with QRCS while still in service. A born leader, Mr. Al-Mohannadi combined military and charitable experiences over more than 30 years. He has exceptional abilities in strategic management, policy-making, and institutional development, corroborated by his academic qualifications as an aviation engineer. By dealing closely with disaster-affected communities, he acquired practical expertise and a high sense of duty in advocacy of the vulnerable.

Talal Al-Abdullah Board Member

Dr. Talal Al-Abdullah has Bachelor of Accounting from QU, two Masters from Egypt and USA, and PhD from Leeds Academy, UK. Professionally, he worked with State Audit Bureau, Qatar Steel Company, Qatar Central Bank (QCB), Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA), Qatar Museums, and Qatar Financial Information Unit (QFIU). Currently, he is Auditor at the General Comptroller Department, QCB.

Fatima Saleh Al-Khulaifi Board Member

Fatima Al-Khulaifi is Project Manager, Quranic Botanic Garden, Qatar Foundation. She has Bachelor of Education in Biology & Chemistry from QU (1993) and Professional MBA from the College of Business, Missouri State University (2008). After working in the Ministry of Education for seven years (1994-2001), Ms. Al-Khulaifi joined NHRC as PR & Media Director. She founded Al-Enjaz Media and Development establishment (2008-2013) and Al-Enjaz Administration Training Center (2007-2011). She spoke in several university conferences and wrote numerous articles in local and international newspapers.

Dr. Abdullah Rashid Al-Naimi Board Member

Dr. Abdullah Al-Naimi has held several managerial positions in the medical and other fields. He is former Chair of QRCS's Medical Committee and Relief and Development Committee for two years. This year, he was selected as member of the International Humanitarian Fact-Finding Commission (IHFFC), Geneva. Over 13 years, Dr. Al-Naimi acted as Senior Consultant Urologist at Hamad General Hospital. He has L.R.C.P. & S.I, M.B.CH., B.A.O and FRCSI from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland; Clinical Fellowship from Nelson R. Mandela School of Medicine (NRMSM); MSc Leading and Managing in Healthcare Organizations, UK; and Board of Urology Certification from the Arab Board of Health Specializations. During his long career, he has won several awards and certificates for his contributions in teaching, research, and management at HMC and the medical sector in Qatar. He has many medical publications.

Reema Masoud Al-Muraikhi Board Member

Taking her first step into volunteering in 2013, Reema Al-Muraikhi attended the Disaster Management Training Camp. Then, she was qualified as a certified trainer at a disaster management trainer education course in the UAE. Her academic background was corroborated with practice through relief missions with QRCS in Kashmir, Nepal, Lebanon, Myanmar, Iraq, and other countries. Ms. Al-Muraikhi became QRCS's Risk Reduction Team Leader implementing the Safe School training programme in Qatar schools. She is the first Arab lady to join the international Field Assessment Coordination Team (FACT).
