Q.S.C. (QVC) in support of the former's annual Ramadan Iftar programme in the Industrial Area. In coordination with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment's (MME) General Cleanliness Department, QRCS volunteers hold a daily group Iftar banquet for cleaning workers. Launched six years ago, the last year's project provided 9,000 meals over 30 days. The total number of meals served over Ramadan is 10,200, or 340 meals per day, with logistic support from Brilliance Cleaning and Hospitality. Noura Al-Dosari, Executive Director, Volunteering and Local Development Division, QRCS, highly appreciated the commendable initiative by QVC to sponsor the programme, in line with the principle of corporate social responsibility (CSR). She wished the bilateral partnership would grow and expand to cover more and more beneficiaries. "For the sixth Ramadan in a row, Doha municipality workers receive healthy food from QRCS. It is a noble humanitarian message that embodies the solidarity and spirituality of the holy month of Ramadan and reflects QRCS's slogan of 'Saving Lives and Preserving Dignity'," stated Ms. Al-Dosari. "This programme has become a milestone of QRCS's volunteers, who are eager to take part in it in pursuit of the great Divine reward and service of others in these blessed days," she added. "This year, the children of volunteers were invited to share their parents the virtue of volunteering and benevolence at an early age". These activities are part of QRCS's Ramadan Campaign for 1438 A.H., which involves QR 85 million worth of humanitarian and development projects. This figure includes international projects in 15 countries at a total cost of QR 65 million, as well as health, social, qualification, and development projects in Qatar at a value exceeding QR 19 million.
