QRCS Organizes Personal Development Courses for Volunteers

Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has recently organized several personal development courses for 70 volunteers and staff members, in cooperation with DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Doha – Old Town. Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has recently organized several personal development courses for 70 volunteers and staff members, in cooperation with DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Doha – Old Town. These courses are part of a year-round training program of QRCS's Volunteers Section, with a view to promote volunteerism, develop the skills of volunteers, utilize their capacities in the service of society. Delivered by the strategist and former QRCS Executive Manager Fahad Mohamed Al-Nuaimi, the sessions discussed the theory of multiple intelligences as an important tool to discover personal abilities, harness positive energy, and achieve excellence. Among the topics covered were visual-spatial intelligence, verbal-linguistic intelligence, logical-mathematical intelligence, bodily-kinesthetic intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, intrapersonal intelligence, and existential intelligence. All facilities were secured in coordination with the host management, which worked actively to ensure the success of the events. Under their partnership and corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Doha – Old Town supported several QRCS volunteering activities, including Ramadan Iftar in the Industrial Area, distribution of water and juice bottles to children during Ramadan, and participation in a charitable visit to hospitalized patients on the occasion of the International Volunteer Day. With its annual strategy, QRCS's Volunteers Section seeks to enhance the capabilities of its members through professional and personal development courses offered by specialized trainers and experts. Next year, a full course agenda will be implemented on many topics, such as the International Humanitarian Law, project management, strategic planning, performance improvement, professional photography, Sphere Project, leadership, communication, and social media.
